Ever go snipe hunting when you were a kid? Here in Hoosierville its a game where you take someone out looking for snipe which is supposedly a fictitious entity. It turns out there is such an animal per dictionary dot com.

However, I feel there is another type of snipe to hunt. A sniper. Usually the sniper is the hunter but it is rather of a cowardly nature. A sniper's modus operandi is to shoot from cover and never be detected till after the harm is done. Which lends this: A shot, especially a gunshot, from a concealed place.

But I was rewarded upon further searching with this: To make malicious, underhand remarks or attacks. To which I say I feel like we're on a snipe hunt.
